From a Single Idea
Across 23 Countries.
Real students. Real experiments. Real ecosystem collapses. Zero passive screen time. This is what happens when inquiry-driven science tools find their way into curious hands worldwide.
Science Cannot Be Memorized.
It Has to Be Discovered.
I started building Praxos because I kept noticing the same thing: most so-called educational software is really just a quiz engine wearing a costume. Multiple-choice questions, blinking reward animations, cartoon mascots handing out gold coins. Children learn to guess faster, not think deeper.
Real science education works differently. A student who watches 200 rabbits eat every blade of grass and then collapse into extinction has not memorized a definition of carrying capacity. They have felt it. They formed a hypothesis, set their parameters, ran the simulation, and watched their prediction fail. Then they asked: "Why?"
That moment of cognitive dissonance is where actual learning lives. That is what I am trying to protect and extend with Praxos.
I pair the 3D browser simulation with a printable paper journal deliberately. Screen time in Praxos is restricted to active inquiry: adjusting variables, observing outcomes, collecting data. The thinking, hypothesizing, and recording happens with a pencil on paper. This is not a nostalgic quirk. It is a pedagogical design decision grounded in how memory and cognition actually work.
Building this alone means I move slowly and make every design decision by hand. But it also means there are no investors telling me to add ad slots, no growth hackers pushing me to gamify with meaningless badges, and no product committees softening the science into something easier to swallow.
Every level is a real experiment. Every student who runs a simulation is doing real systems thinking. And every classroom that assigns it is giving their students something genuinely rare: screen time that builds scientific intuition instead of burning it away.
Two Tools. One Unbreakable Learning Loop.
The simulation and the paper journal are not two separate products. They are two halves of a single scientific inquiry cycle.
Interactive 3D Virtual Lab
A living ecosystem simulation that loads instantly on ordinary school Chromebooks, iPads, and laptops. Students adjust organism populations, test environmental changes, introduce predators, and observe food web consequences in real time.
- Consistent, repeatable simulation results for honest scientific testing
- Zero ads, zero micro-transactions, zero algorithm rabbit holes
- 100% browser-based with no software installation or logins required
- 10 progressive levels covering food webs, carrying capacity, and ecosystem balance
Expedition Science Journal
A 24-page printable companion workbook where students write predictions before touching the screen, record population data during simulation runs, sketch food webs by hand, and reflect on outcomes. Thinking happens offline.
- Easy to print on standard school and home black-and-white printers
- NGSS-aligned scientific inquiry prompts for grades 2 through 6
- Pre-lab hypothesis space, data collection tables, and reflection questions
- A keepsake physical record that turns screen time into documented science
COPPA Compliant
No accounts required to start Level 1. Student email capture only occurs via voluntary parent email submission at the Level 2 gate. No child data is stored or processed.
Zero Third-Party Ads
No advertising networks, no behavioral targeting, no sponsored content. Praxos generates revenue exclusively through voluntary subscriptions from adults, never ad impressions from children.
No In-Game Purchases
Zero coins, gems, power-ups, loot boxes, or any form of microtransaction. The simulation engine is a scientific tool, not a monetization funnel.
Classroom Device Friendly
Runs smoothly on standard school Chromebooks, iPads, and older classroom computers. No special software, plugins, or app store downloads needed. Ready for whole-class lessons in seconds.
Founder Accountability
There is no faceless corporate entity behind Praxos. Every curriculum decision, every privacy policy update, and every support reply comes directly from one person: Julius Pau.
EU GDPR Aligned
Analytics data is processed via PostHog on EU-region servers. No cross-site tracking. No persistent cookies beyond anonymous session identifiers. IP anonymization enabled.
