Praxos Learning is dedicated to providing safe, enriching, and educational digital science laboratories for children, parents, and educators. We believe children should explore scientific models in an environment free of behavioral advertising, profiling, microtransactions, or invasive tracking.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and applicable student privacy frameworks across all jurisdictions.

2. Information We Do Not Collect from Children

Children playing our simulation labs (such as the Ecosystem game) can access simulations without creating an account or providing any personal information.

  • We do not require children to input their real names, addresses, or phone numbers.
  • We do not collect geolocation data or IP address geofencing records.
  • We do not enable public chat, direct messaging, or social networking features between children.
  • We do not utilize biometric identifiers, facial recognition, or voice recording technologies.
  • We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade student data under any circumstances.
  • We do not serve targeted behavioral advertising, contextual commercial promotions, or affiliate pop-ups.

3. Information Provided by Parents, Teachers, and Adults

Adult users (parents, guardians, educators, and school administrators) may voluntarily provide limited information to interact with our platform:

  • Contact and Support Inquiries: When submitting an inquiry via our contact form, we collect your email address, name, and message contents solely to respond to your request.
  • Printable Workbook Downloads: When requesting PDF worksheets or educational curriculum guides, we collect your email address to deliver the files and provide relevant updates.
  • Subscription and Payment Processing: When purchasing a Founding Family Pass or school license, payments are processed directly through Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Newsletter Subscriptions: You may unsubscribe from our educational dispatches at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email footer.

4. Analytics, Performance Telemetry, and Technical Data

To maintain high rendering performance, diagnose WebGL errors, and evaluate simulation ergonomics on classroom devices, we collect aggregate, de-identified technical metrics:

  • Device type, browser version, operating system, and screen resolution (to verify Three.js and WebGL compatibility on low-spec Chromebooks).
  • Aggregated page visit counts, simulation frame rate averages, and level completion milestones.
  • Anonymous crash diagnostics and JavaScript console error logs to troubleshoot simulation physics glitches.

All analytics tools are configured in strict privacy mode without third-party retargeting cookies, cross-site trackers, or advertising network beacons.

5. COPPA Direct Notice and Parental Consent Protocols

In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Praxos Learning operates under a privacy-by-design architecture:

We do not collect personal information from children under the age of 13. When an adult parent or educator registers an email to receive companion workbooks or curriculum answer keys, that consent is treated as direct adult consent for educational communications. Parents retain the right to review, edit, or delete any contact information provided at any time.

If we discover that personal information of a child under 13 has been inadvertently transmitted without verified adult consent, we will delete that data immediately from our records.

6. Educational Institution and FERPA Compliance

For school districts, charter schools, and educational co-ops utilizing Praxos Learning in classroom settings:

  • Praxos Learning acts as a school official with legitimate educational interests under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • We do not create student profiles, build behavioral dossiers, or retain student records beyond the duration of instructional sessions.
  • School administrators may request data audit logs or certify institutional deletion agreements by contacting our administrative team.

7. Data Security, Encryption, and Retention

We enforce industry-standard security protocols to protect all transmitted and stored data:

All network transmissions are secured using HTTPS and TLS 1.3 encryption. Internal databases use strict role-based access controls, automated security patch cycles, and encrypted backups. We retain personal adult contact information only as long as necessary to fulfill the requested educational service, maintain active subscriptions, or comply with legal audit requirements.

8. State-Specific and International Privacy Rights (CCPA, CPRA, GDPR)

Depending on your geographic location, you may have specific rights under data protection laws:

  • California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to request disclosure of categories of personal information collected, request data deletion, and opt out of any data sharing. Praxos Learning does not sell personal information.
  • European Economic Area & UK Residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, restrict data processing, and request data portability under GDPR Articles 15 through 20.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you, deny access, or adjust service quality because you exercised your privacy rights.

Parents, educators, and adult users have the absolute right to inspect, update, download, or request the immediate deletion of any personal information they have provided.
