There is something powerful that happens when a child holds a physical pencil. When a student sketches a population curve or writes down a prediction on paper, their brain processes the idea much more deeply than if they had just tapped a button on an iPad.
Drawing forces kids to slow down, visualize what might happen next, and commit to an idea before they test it.
The 3-Step Routine: Predict, Test, Reflect
1. Predict on Paper: Before touching any game sliders, the child reads the mission goal and writes their hypothesis in their Expedition Logbook.
2. Test on Screen: They run the 3D simulation, observe the animals, and watch the living ecosystem respond.
3. Reflect as a Family: They record the data with a pencil, graph what happened, and share their findings at the dinner table.
